Review of Apocalypse Now (1979) by Mitchell Z — 17 Aug 2015
Apocalypse Now is a complete triumph. It feels like a true war film, but its more than that. It combines great characters and some gritty warfare to grip you. But its greatest achievement is keeping your interest in the villain of the film, played by the great Marlon Brando, all throughout the film you wonder about him, then when he shows up, you truly fear him.
Coppola did a wonderful job with his all-star cast in developing one of the greatest films ever made.
