Review of Another Year (2010) by Iven S — 04 Sep 2012
This was a movie? I felt like I was in big brother watching how people are drawn into the household of this loving husband and wife. This felt real, the dialogue is so normal and sprayed with awkward moments of silence that have this feel like real life.
Its slow but so is life isn't it? and it slips pass and you think that something is going to happen but it doesn't but what really gets pushed to the forefront are the characters and the lives they inflict upon themselves.
It really magnifies that you reap what you sow but it does it gently and with time, letting things unfold naturally and letting peoples nature blossom and show us what they are really made of. Interesting stuff.
