Review of Annihilation (2018) by Gunnermcdagget — 17 Mar 2018

This movie is very much a love/hate affair. On one hand the movie gives you amazing visual effects, an interesting premise, stellar performances by the mainly female cast, and excellent direction... On the other hand we have lazy writing, no commitment to an actual conclusion, and no explanation of what any of it had to do with anything.

TLDR; a great movie let down by terrible writing.

Definitely worth a watch but don't expect much depth from the shallow story line.
