Review of Annie Hall (1977) by Aquiles V — 31 Jan 2014
No one can deny that this movie has a great script and good performances. It´s a clever romantic story that deals with real problems without feeling like a serious drama. But, in a more subjective point of view, I just couldn´t entirely connect with the characters.
Not to say that they are bad, because they are very well written, it´s just that seeing a neurotic, egocentric and pessimist guy trying to find love is not something I really want to see. I read that this was also a comedy, but I didn´t laugh once.
Like I said, this is still a stylish romantic film and I can see the appeal, but personally it wasn´t for me.
