Review of Annie Hall (1977) by Zack M — 02 Mar 2011
There are many of these Woody Allen romantic comedies out there, and all of them have similar themes and characters. Annie Hall stands above all of those for the sole reason that it perfected all of those themes and characters in a believable and relatable world.
Every aspect of the story is nearly flawless with innovative camera techniques and editing techniques. It's the most deserving of the Oscar as far as Woody Allen films go. And while I like Woody Allen a lot more than many people, I even agree he has not been able to top this film since 1977.
