Review of Annie Hall (1977) by Matt M — 10 Aug 2017
Allenâ(TM)s intellectual ranting was never better than in this sophisticated love story between a depressed professional comedian and an easy hip woman played by his muse, Diane Keaton. Not only does this film update all the features of the old fashioned romantic comedies of American cinema, but it also satirises bitingly on the society of the time.
As well as that, Allen finds time to exhibit both sides of himself, the funny man and the intellectual while once again paying tribute to the city of New York with his wonderful creativity.
