Review of Annie Hall (1977) by Wesley R — 22 Mar 2011
Very enjoyable film with a unique and way of breaking the fourth wall. Relationships are treated in an entertaining, yet realistic way. Woody Allen came off as annoying at times with what I felt was over-reactive neurosis at times, but really shined whenever addressing the audience.
Diane Keaton really steals the show and there are many memorable lines. What's equally impressive is that this film was originally going to be a drama centered on a murder mystery, but turned into one of Woody Allen's most memorable movies.
