Review of Annie Hall (1977) by Ladd W — 05 Jun 2011
A classic, and one of my personal favorites. Allen and Keaton are a joy to watch, as they navigate the highs and lows of a relationship -a mirror in which we might see ourselves. It's truly the epoch of Allen's career as a filmmaker, combining heart with the slapstick humor of his early films with the pathos of his later films.
Of course, Allen has since made many great films, but even the best ones affectionately recall moments from Annie Hall.
