Review of Annie Hall (1977) by Melissa N — 08 Jun 2014

I'm going now to watch this movie again because frankly: I didn't get it. Maybe my hopes were too high, maybe I read into it too much, but I didn't get it. I loved Love and Death, which I think is Allen's best work. It bothers me that I didn't like Annie Hall, because every time I asked someone I know had good taste if they liked it they would say, with the most sprightly passion: "I loved Annie Hall!".

So. I guess I'm an uncultured swine. Wish me luck with my rewatching of this underground classic.
