Review of Annie Hall (1977) by Tuukka P — 21 Jan 2015
Woody Allens most famous film (and the movie which denied certain space adventure megahit its Oscar glory) is a story of a neurotic stand up and his relationship with an equally quirky young woman. Annie Hall has been said to laid the foundation to the modern romcom and what's different in this - compared to most of them - is that it's actually sweet and funny.
Pitch perfect dialogue scenes are sometimes broken up with characters f.i. commenting the situation to the audience which weirdly suits the mood of this story. Best Allen film (from this genre) i've seen.
