Review of Anna Karenina (2012) by Caroline M — 11 Apr 2013
I read the novel a few months before watching this, so the plot felt fresh as I had forgotten large parts of the story. It is a very sumptuous production and very well made, and Keira Knightley has a great presence as the eponymous character.
I felt it skimped a bit on characterisation and plot, but as I found large parts of the story quite boring anyway, I didn't mind. I was glad there were lots of snowy scenes as I enjoyed those parts in the book!
