Review of Anna Karenina (2012) by Luka K — 27 Oct 2017
This movie tries and fails. There were some interesting ideas, but in order to bring something new to, yet another adaptation of the book, the director completely subjugated story in favour of estetics.
Jude law, whom I regard to be an excellent actor, simply isn't made for this role and Keira Knightley, though frequent actress in Wright's dramas, isn't elegant nor profound enough to play Anna.
The best thing in this movie however, is deffinetly costumography and it has earned the Oscar it won.
