Review of Anna Karenina (2012) by Taisia M — 28 Dec 2015
Joe Wright & Tom Stoppard really win with this conceptual adaptation of this story. While some might argue that the direction is distracting, It is an interesting take on an otherwise character-focused story.
The character development suffers because of the the style but not to a fault. Keira Knightley knew when to shine and when to back off and I thought she deserved more credit for her adaptation. Like, who else could be in this movie?
