Review of Animal Crackers (1930) by James W — 06 Mar 2008
Occasionally funny. The Marx Brothers are still playing to a theatre audience, with far too many static shots. The first fifteen minutes are comical but shortly after the introduction to Captain Spaulding, the film begins to drags its heels.
It pains me to say this but the story often gets in the way of the humor.
