Review of Animal Crackers (1930) by Brandon S — 25 Feb 2010
Kind of a bizarre set up--practically just a film version of an only-slightly-edited stage script. The chorus singing at the beginning really could've been done without. That aside, there were REAL guffaws in this one and of course some CLASSIC lines from Groucho: "I got up early one morning and shot an elephant in my pajamas.
How he got in my pajamas, I'll never know." Definitely a classic, worth the view.
