Review of Angel Heart (1987) by Brandon S — 11 Nov 2009
Mickey Rourke is Harry Angel, a private detective hired by Robert De Niro's character to track down a man who owes him a debt. Soon after he starts his investigation, dead bodies start to appear with the trail leading from New York to Louisiana and voodoo.
It begins like any normal detective movie until it turns into something more supernatural and then you have the twist which you can see coming near the end. A wonderful movie with a great story. The cast is fantastic especially De Niro as the dark, brooding and mysterious Louis Cypher (The Devil).
I loved this movie.
