A cleaver, creepy, disturbing and darkly erotic offering from Alan Parker. The entire film is saturated in a steamy and mysterious atmosphere. And, while DeNiro is clearly having fun in his role --- this is a particularly realistic and raw turn from Mickey Rourke.
