Review of Angel-A (2005) by Xgary X — 10 Sep 2009

This film follows a similar premise to that of Capra's "It's a Wonderful Life" except that the angel is not a friendly old man, she's what appears to be a 6-foot tall, chain-smoking, leggy blonde slut.

It's very nicely shot and Paris looks great in black and white, but the acting is fairly ropey in parts. It starts off well and has some fine moments but as the film progresses things do tend to get rather silly.

And that ending belongs in something like "Splash".
