Review of Angel-A (2005) by Nefeli M — 09 Nov 2009
It looks great, it's full of good ideas, the two leads perform very well, but it doesn't really seem to work properly. I wanted to like it a lot more but it seemed to keep falling frustratingly short of the mark - it seems to try to dive deep in exploring issues of self-love, self-loathing, personal relationships and love in general, but frequently flounders in the shallows.
Still, not all bad, it's an enjoyable fantasy ride, quirky and has a pretty good balance of humourous and serious moments.
