Jim Broadbent is very strong in this period piece about the strange deceptions of family life, and their repercussions. And it's a role for Colin Firth that remobves him from D'Arcy. I don't think it's a movie for very young people, you've got to have reached a stage in your life to engage with those emotions.
Have to say that I cried on and off throughout.
