This was sort of a perfect grey Sunday afternoon flick to watch while curled up on the couch. Am not sure anybody would mistake it for great cinema, but Jim Broadbent gives another outstanding performance as a dodgy old coot in his dying days.
Colin Firth is his son, looking back on the shaky relationship he's had with his dad. The film bounces around from past to present, with a remarkable debut performance from Matthew Beard in Firth's teenage role.
