Based on the Agatha Christie play version, with its upbeat ending, this film is classic Hollywood craftsmanship at its best. This film is blessed with a wealth of character actors, led by Barry Fitzgerald and Walter Huston.

The classic story of 10 strangers invited to a remote island, just to be bumped off, one by one, in accordance with a nursery rhyme, is chocked filled with thrills and dark humor. Easily the best version of this tale.
