Review of Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004) by Bradley W — 14 Dec 2013
It's all about the characters. Will Ferrell is just outstandingly funny, and unlike previous films, actually gives a performance that isn't himself. Carell gives us most of the films quotable moments as he plays the part of dim-witted Brick excellently.
People can often exaggerate how funny things are, but I'm serious when I say, I almost stop breathing on occasions due to laughter. It's just a hilarious film, nothing more. It'll forever go down as one of my favourite comedies of all-time, and perhaps, one of my favourite films.
Pure comedy gold.
