Review of Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018) by Maga_Man — 04 Dec 2018
Terrible, preachy sequel to the charming original. Basically it's all about how women who get bored because their lives aren't fulfilling their narcissism are heroes who need to be endlessly indulged and validated.
Very on-the-nose and eye-rolling. You really feel bad for poor Ralph, meanwhile Vanellope is supposed to be the hero but winds up being more like a villain. It's the opposite of family-friendly entertainment, it's more like propaganda about how parents who break up families are the REAL heroes.
Abomination.
