Where do I begin with a movie like 2004's Anchorman? It's a modern classic cult comedy that came out about 9 years ago and remains to be one of the most quotable films of the past decade. Almost everyone in my age group that I know has seen the film and it is one of the best comedies of all time in most people's opinion.

I have seen it at least 7 times and it is by far Ferrell's best film. With all of that out of the way, here is a brief synopsis. Run Burgundy (Ferrell) is the lead anchor at Channel 4 news and him, along with his stellar news team (Brian, Brick, and Champ) are threatened and irritated when a woman, Veronica Corningstone, is hired on as the co-anchor.

The hilarity ensues as the team try at first to get her fired. Ron quickly begins to grow an attachment to her and the two develop a relationship while Ron is struggling to keep his relationship with the guys and maintain his fame as a popular anchor in the city of San Diego.

Let me say that the thing that makes this film work for me is the chemistry between Ron and his news team. They all work so well together and the fact that most of the dialogue in this film is improvised makes it all the more natural and hilarious.

The comic timing and bizarrely hilarious lines in this film are stunning and memorable. Although the plot may seem a little odd and out of control, these wacky characters keep the film in check. Although Will Ferrell is the main character, the support of Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, and David Koechner are what help keep this film glued together.

My personal favorite scenes are Brian's collection of various cologne's (Sex Panther...60% of the time it works every time) and the infamous anchor battle (Brick where did you get a hand grenade?.

...I don't know) Seriously, it is one of the wackiest comedies of all time and ya gotta check it out. You will laugh until you cry!
