I don't understand why people call this a chick flick. The only part of the movie that came close to being a chick flick is the end. The rest of the movie was about Richard Gere's character and Navy officer training.
..most "chicks" could care less. There were very few "romantic" scenes and by the end I really didnt care whether or not they were together. Super disappointing.
