Review of An Officer and a Gentleman (1982) by Gradhito O — 29 May 2013
Box office hit has recruit finding love and transforming into a better man in the navy. Joining the navy doesn't look like much fun but if you're the type who needs discipline and structure to grow as a person, it might be for you.
Closing scene and track from Cocker and Warnes probably helped this film become more memorable than it deserved. If are curious to see how loosely the term "classic" is thrown around, check the reviews of this one on IMDb.
