Review of An Autumn Afternoon (1962) by Michael T — 20 May 2017
A simple, but very sweet film. Ozu's portrait style guides "An Autumn Afternoon" to be less of a narrative feature, and more about the experience of peering into the lives of these characters.
The writing is quite optimistic, and mixed with the colorful and quaint visual style, even the sad moments feel bright.
