Review of An Autumn Afternoon (1962) by Wezul S — 02 Nov 2013
I adore Yasujiro Ozu. His films are quiet, simple and deeply profound. An Autumn Afternoon is a meditation on loneliness and happiness and making a choice between one's own self interest and the best interest of one's child.
It is about resisting or embracing change. It is about the simple march of years in our mortal, human lives. And it is beautiful.
