Review of An American Werewolf in London (1981) by Brian C — 23 Apr 2012
Is it possible to make a better werewolf film? This movie seriously gets everything right. Real tension, big laughs that compliment and enhance the horror rather than dilute it, handmade special effects that are still believable today, hot sex and lurid gore.
.. it seriously has everything going for it. I can never get tired of watching this. John Landis' career may have taken a turn for the worse in the late 80's, but with this, Animal House, The Blues Brothers, and Trading Places, his talent could never be denied.
