John Landis is known for his slapstick comedy movies. However, he clashes comedy with horror in this film. What this movie has to offer is a brilliant premise, room for mystery, and even typical Landis material.
But, An American Werewolf in London is a horrifying horror film that showcased makeup veteran Rick Baker's talents in the most fascinatingly horrifying ways. Even the call of the werewolf is one of my favorite howls in a movie.
