Review of An American Werewolf in London (1981) by Jan K — 10 Aug 2017
This remains one of my favourite movies of all time. The comedy and horror are not overdone, and the film is genuinely enjoyable as a result. The horror aspects are genuinely scary, even now, 37 years after its release.
The howl of the werewolf still scares me today! I even took a pilgrimage to the village of Crickadarn - the setting of East Proctor - so that I could say that I have been there. I would recommend this movie to anyone, whether or not they are a fan of horror movies.
