Review of An American Tail (1986) by Dee R — 05 Jan 2010
It's a classic.
I have the feeling I have to respect everything that's older than me. Except people, screw people.
"An American Tail" is a story about a family of Russian mice moving to America, honestly believing there are no cats there to kill them. But young Fievel gets lost after a storm swipes him off the boat in sea.
Oddly enough pipsqueak survives, and has to find back his family, even though he pretty much did 4 times before the ending.
I said it was a classic, but it's not really a movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat whole way through, it might depend more on beautiful scenery and showing Fievel sob.
But I'm not able to give this movie a low rating, since I grew up with it. Saying this is an awful movie would be an awful lie.
See it if you were unlucky enough to miss a piece of history.
