Review of An American in Paris (1951) by Bf E — 31 May 2010
'S Wonderful! 'S Marvelous! Who cares if the story's a bit wobbly -- the movie won the Oscar for Best Picture in 1951, and Gene Kelly is incredibly appealing in this film. In his cropped pants, white socks and loafers I wondered if Michael Jackson was inspired by Kelly's "look" in this MGM Classic.
