Review of An American in Paris (1951) by Matt H — 06 Aug 2013
While I can admire the artistry present here, it's not really my thing. Caron is a very good dancer, but her and Kelly have no chemistry whatsoever; and with a really thin plot and love story, they need to have sizzling energy together.
I'm also apparently just not a fan of ballet. Give me Fred Astaire and Ginger any day over this.
