Gene Kelly can make almost any problem better when it comes to his movies. His dancing is so wonderful to look at, it's easy to nearly oversee the problems with the plot. The movie is also quite beautiful to look at.
The art direction is simply amazing, it is so colorful and matches the movie so well. Besides that, the movie is pure entertainment, with wonderful musical numbers and funny moments, it is a great old-fashioned musical.
