Despite the very sad ending to the life of Amy, this movie is an eye into a fabulously talented artist's life who was introduced to hard drugs by a man she fell in love with, which ultimately destroyed her.
The dragged out and slow-mo still shots were too prevalent in this film, but the chronicle of events covering Amy before fame were worthwhile.
