What does it mean to be watching a documentary shaped by footage that the subject never wanted recorded? Critiquing invasive media while creating more of it? Subtitling the lyrics to every song and encouraging us to try and understand where each word came from.
It's an intense focus on a person's inner life and asks questions we can never know the answers to. I hope no one ever makes a film like this about me and if they do I hope it's after I'm dead.
