Review of Amy (2015) by Dane A — 13 Aug 2015
Obviously tragic is an understatement and I was prepared for that. The scene with Tony Bennett brings it to a crescendo. That her voice sounds great but she knows she is not on the level of he, is heartbreaking.
He is kind and sweet and patient and in that moment, the father Amy SHOULD have had. Her own father and all handlers and Ex husband come off as lusting for the pound of flesh they made off of this frail young woman.
You literally can see her demons in the worst scenes.
