Review of Amour (2012) by Millo T — 09 Feb 2013
This is probably the first Haneke movie I can achieve the end not being disgusted with him (although the slow pace does not make easy to finish the movie). Some people could say that there is not much interest in telling something that we all know that happens, or that Haneke has played a little "tricky" in talking about something that affects everybody, so it can be easily acclaimed by people and critics.
But I think that, contrary to other Haneke movies, love and tenderness are present here, as well as finding beauty on little things or even difficult to understand things, and also tries to avoid the most terrible scenes but at the same time make us thrill, being restrained but expressive, showing all the worryings as an act of love, to which their actors contribute.
