Review of Amour (2012) by Felix D — 20 Sep 2013
Many consider this to be a thread on euthanasia and love. I'm don't completely agree, this movie is like to pour a pinch of salt into a wound. Where the wound are problems that usually people don't want to see or pretends not to see.
Affection amplifies the suffering needlessly for boththe members of a pair. Old age is a loathsome disease, embarrassing and incurable, then life ends and that's all folks. A rational approach that puts an end to life in this case is the only one that make sense.
Here everything works perfectly and the film does what it had to do. Remarkable.
