Review of American Teen (2008) by Kerry K — 08 Apr 2010
A film documentary following a handful of American teenagers during their senior year of high school. Quite interesting although some parts are quite obviously staged. Unexciting in places, and the characters are all so stereotypical that I wasn't sure if it was actually real, but maybe American schools really are like that - I wouldn't know! There are some moving and touching scenes within the film, and the backstories of the teenagers hesp us to understand them better.
Not a gritty or dramatic documentar by any means, but entertaining enough.
