A massive disappoint when compared to the movie it should have been and the message it should have portrayed. Instead of creating a heroic persona about this character for all the people he killed in battle, he should have been glorified for the work he did outside of the battleground with the PSTD soldiers and helping them to adjust back to society.
That is what truly made him a great person and should have been the main focus of the film. There were too many war scenes that ended up being far too similar in the end. It is a fine war film until you realize how much better the movie would have been had it had a different focus.
