Review of America: Imagine the World Without Her (2014) by Michael S — 19 Oct 2014
I have to chuckle at the obvious political points of view of the critics of this film. Downplaying, bad mouthing, Sesame Street. Seriously though, SO, I sit here after just finishing "America." DAMN YOU Dinesh! As tears stream down my face at the sadness I feel for the assault on the American Dream and the fact that so many are so wrong in their point of view.
So many Americans who choose the noun as the descriptor of what type of American they are. Then in the same breath chain themselves to the self induced oppression and bending to the poor motivations of the few that do not have their interest at heart.
America is STILL the greatest country and idea in history PERIOD, until that day when we willing give up control of it to someone better than ourselves. That day can NEVER come or the world will step backwards 500 years in an instant.
There is hope and this message is one of the most amazing statements I have ever seen about why we are who we are. As I wipe away the tears at the same time I'm filled with hope and have an amazing feeling of empowerment.
I see myself and my family in this message, even if they don't see themselves in it. I wish that every school in America would show this to every class old enough to absorb it. Heck put it between sex ed and pot smoking classes if you like.
If I won the lottery tomorrow I would start by getting the permission of Dinesh, then buying 2 hours of prime time TV to show to as many people as will watch. So, any wealthy Americans reading this that has an extra 100 Million to spare, can have my idea.
In the mean time, I'm doing my part and giving copies of the DVD to everyone in my family. Keep up the excellent patriotic work and THANK YOU for showing me I can still be proud as I stand beside you as an American! God bless us all.
