Review of Amélie (2001) by Our L — 29 Mar 2012
Watched this movie again tonight, for the umpteenth time. The French, and Jean-Pierre Jeunet specifically, know how to make films. They are alive! The stories are often strange and interesting, the characters always intriguing to look at and listen to, and there is rarely a dull moment to be had.
Many years and views later, and this movie still makes me laugh while it's taking my breath away. Can't recommend it enough! And if you like "Amelie", you owe it to yourself to check out "Delicatessen" and "City of Lost Children", also by Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
Amazing films, all of them.
