I always say thank goodness for films that might be perceived as weird or unusual, that try to do something other than hit the same tried and true notes. I think this film fits in that category, though certainly the obsessed academic who carries his work too far, is not new.
I found the ending somewhat anti-climactic. Worth seeing though.
