Review of Alphaville (1965) by Private U — 14 Oct 2007
A movie of its time. Expressing undertones of fear of communism, socialism and a society controlled so much by its government an emotion such as love doesn't exist. The film, made in a film-noir style is complex with its messages and storyline while displaying a sad beauty through its dark and seperated settings.
