The most layered Godard work I've seen, it sure is an oddity among his body of works. At the same time, it's a B-movie noir and a beautifully shot, thematically deep sci-fi film. Brooding yet hopeful, and for once love prevails! Fans of 2001:ASO owe it to themselves to watch this.
