Usually, movies that have this kind of marketing turn out to be horrible, cliche-ridden stacks of waste with little to no rewatch power. However, this movie is actually impressive, especially from a third-rate company like Crest Animation Studios.
The characters are very likable and develop very well especially the two main characters, the story has a subplot that flows very well with the main story, and has an emotional side that is genuine and doesn't just show up.
The animation is very colorful and zany, and the backgrounds are nice to look at. I definitely don't agree that this movie is "the runt of 2010's animation litter". I would say movies like "Tangled" and "Megamind" are WAY more deserving of that unfortunate title than this.
This movie is honestly the shining point in the plethora of 2010's animated films. Children and adults will enjoy this.
