Review of Alligator (1980) by Daniel H — 21 Aug 2010
Not bad of its kind, if watching a 10-15 meter long alligator ravage the sewers and streets of Chicago is your kind of thing. The usual stereotypes are there, the hero/cop with haunted past who's not believed, scientist/love interest, obnoxious reporter looking for a scoop, and even a great white hunter type.
The pacing's decent, with enough scenes of the reptile having its lunch or dinner, i.e. people. Coming late as it did in the 1970's nature vs man films beginning with Jaws, it's not bad.
